Hi, friend!

I have some exciting things to share with you today, but first:

Happy spring! I don’t know about you, but I love spring. The flowers, trees bursting with new life, and the change in temperature. Ah. So. Wonderful.

However, this year I have not experienced quite as many warm, springy days as I would have liked. As a lacrosse referee, I spend my springtime afternoons outside running around on various fields throughout the area. Most of the time, this is great. I get exercise, work on my (farmers) tan a little, and enjoy a break from sitting at my computer. But this year, I have had far too many cold, rainy days. 🥶 Not okay.

Though I wasn’t sure it was possible (*sighs dramatically*) I survived each of those cold, soaked-through games. And now it seems like warmer weather is here to stay. 🤞

Okay, enough of my weather rant, er, report. What’s your favorite season? Do you live somewhere where you experience different seasons? Let me know in the comments below! I would love to hear from you!

Now, onto some updates and a gift for you!

Podcast Guesting:

Over the past month, I had the incredible privilege of being on two different podcasts:

She Lives Purposefully, where we talked about How Comparison is Destructive, and…

Abundantly Yours, where we discussed How to Find Hope in Dark Times.

If you get the chance, I would love for you to check out the episodes and let me know what you think. ☺️

Have you heard about Kickstarter?

If you have, then awesome! If not, I’m going to be sharing more about what Kickstarter is in another email. But for now, I wanted to let you know that I’m going to be running a Kickstarter Campaign for Recruit of Talionis THIS SUMMER. More details will be coming soon, but you can think of it this way: it’s like seeing the movie in the theater before it comes out on Netflix (or Hulu, or Peacock, or one of the million other streaming services). If you back the Kickstarter, you’ll get first access to Recruit of Talionis, AND the opportunity to grab some other Kickstarter exclusive options. I’m planning to release the book this fall, but all those who back the Kickstarter will get it this summer.🥳

Ah! I’m getting excited! But I’ll refrain from going on and on about it now. 😉(If you’d like more details and can’t wait for my email about the Kickstarter, reply and ask away!)

I recently backed Drawn in Ash on Kickstarter. It’s a science fantasy novel inspired by the book of Esther, and I’m excited to read it. There’s still 15 days left of this campaign, so if you’re interested, head over and check it out!

In other news

I’m currently working on edits for Recruit of Talionis, and I’m working with an amazing cover designer to craft a cover that I CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE WITH YOU! Keep an eye out. I’m hoping to show it to you soon.

And now, a gift for you!

The last thing I wanted to share with you today is one of my short stories! This has been a long time in coming, but here is Rise from the Ashes, A Talionis Series Short Story. (If you click the cover, it’ll take you to the story.)

How are YOU doing? Anything I could be praying for you about? I would love to hear from you!

Until next time!

Hope and grace,
